Best Turnkey Provider and Cash Flow Returns in Chicago
Working on and off with Principal Owner Justin Ericsson for the past 5 years, I highly recommend working with Profit from Rentals in the Chicago market. Whether it is a turnkey 2-4 unit property in Chicago or suburban single family home, Profit from Rentals has a singular goal of making you successful in your real estate investing portfolio. You want to partner up with Justin and his team as he stands by his work and delivers a truly turnkey investment experience. The level of quality put into rehab/construction is unmatched in the industry as any investor wants to avoid those dreaded two words at all costs....."Deferred Maintenance!" I also like the fact that he himself has his own portfolio of properties here in Chicago so he truly puts his money where his mouth is!

Passive Income and Double Digit Returns Are Possible!!
A smart and savvy friend introduced me to Profit From Rentals almost a year and a half ago. At the time, I was contributing the maximum to my 401k, ROTH IRA (backdoor), and also maintained a taxable investment account with ETFs managed by Betterment. My accounts averaged approximately 10% returns, but I was seeking diversification and better returns . I did as much due diligence as one could possibly do for an out of state investor (I live in California) and decided to take the leap of faith as my friends did with PFR. Now, I own two turnkey properties in Chicago, IL and couldn't be more satisfied with how they are performing. Justin definitely runs a tight ship with his company and I've found that he is very patient, knowledgeable, fair, and stays true with his word. When my 3-flat didn't appraise due to a discrepancy in the number of rooms, Justin was quick to lower the purchase price to make things right for me. When my property inspector produced certain findings that concerned me, he had those issues resolved. When I had the innumerable questions upon my first purchase, he took the time to address my questions. To be fair, Turnkey Investing especially with Section 8 properties may not be the best fit for everyone (high risk, high reward), but the kinds of cash-flow returns at the purchase price points that can be found with Justin's PFR are hard to beat and impossible to find in California. Once I save up enough cash for a down payment, you can bet I'll be calling Justin for another property!

I am not one to post reviews, but I felt my experience warranted one. First of all I live in California and the price on real estate is ridiculously expensive. I also have a disability that limits my driving so a turnkey seemed to be for me.
My family and I bought two properties from Profit from Rentals and Justin Ericson. Unfortunately, we had a theft and vandalism claim and the insurance company left us in limbo for a year and then denied us. This left us with no cash flow and a vacant and damaged property. I am on disability so I didn’t have the extra money to repair the rental. The owner Justin has been a tremendous help in not only helping to repair one of our units out of his own pocket, but in finding a lawyer and putting up the money to litigate. Being out of state is scary in not knowing who you can trust. I think it is rare that a person shows integrity in the way Justin has treated myself and my family even after the sale. I know people have different tastes about turnkeys, but there are a few trustworthy companies out there.
I am an enthusiastic supporter of Justin and PFR. I started investing in Chicago a few years back when prices and interest rates were low and picked up a couple of gems. I thought I would never find a good deal again like those again.
Then, I met Justin and my perception of investing changed forever. Justin's entire operation is made very simple for an investor. The types of returns you can earn with his properties are going to be attractive whether you are a first-time investor or a veteran. He understands all aspects of the process, including, most important to me, what happens after I purchase the home, two, five, even ten years down the road. Justin walked me through his entire operation, including showing me houses in various phases of rehab from 0% to 50% and 100%. He even took me to meet tenants in one of his existing units. He showed me where he warehouses extra materials (i.e., paint, flooring, etc. etc.) which is standardized in his rehabbed units. He explained how he works with his investors to get past any hiccups with repairs, etc. As an investor, I tried poking holes and asking a ton of questions, and my trust of Justin just kept growing. He is the type of long-term partner I want to work with, in which we both do well financially and create incredibly beautiful housing for a community.
Justin is very fair and trustworthy. He accidentally listed the unit I bought as a 3 bedroom instead of a 4 bedroom, and once he discovered the "bonus" room, he still honored the original price of a 3 bedroom. He is not a sale-motivated partner, but understands that in order for him to be successful, both parties have to be happy for the long-run.
If you are on the fence about Justin, meet him in person or talk to him over the phone and I am confident you will realize very quickly that he is the real deal. I will definitely continue to invest with Justin and build our long-term business relationship. THANK YOU Justin!
Some bumps but always rectified to my satisfaction
I have recently purchase a property from Justin at Profitfromrentals in the Chicago area. Communicating with Justin during the due diligence process and vetting has been very good. Justin really wants to make sure you as the owner of the property have everything taken care of and if things come up he will try and resolve them. Case in point as I obtained the property I found out that one of my tenants was not paying the correct amount in rent. I relayed this information to my property manager and Justin and Justin was able to remedy the situation with the tenant and refunded the first few months of underpayment to me the owner. That situation did take awhile for me to obtain the result that I was satisfied with but in the end Justin did do what I believe to be the right solution and really cements my thoughts that he is someone I am willing to purchase from in the future. The property management company communication has not been the greatest so far but hopefully as time goes by I will see improvement from this side as well.
I have been working with ProfitfromRentals and owner Justin Ericsson for 3 years. I have helped provide his clients with financing to acquire the properties. I can't believe what a positive experience I always have with Profit From Rentals. Selling/Rehabbing real estate in today's world is complicated. Justin takes the pain out of the transaction..
